Plans for the second phase of a significant housing development in Shropshire have been submitted. Pickstock Homes, which received outline permission for up to 600 homes north of Shrewsbury Road in Oswestry in April 2020, is now seeking approval for 316 additional properties. The initial phase of 284 homes was approved in November 2022. This new submission includes a variety of housing types, such as apartments, bungalows, and houses, with a commitment to providing 33 affordable homes. The developers aim to foster an inclusive community that encourages sustainable travel like walking and cycling. The design seeks to harmonise with the surrounding area, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and electric vehicle charging facilities. This proposal represents a continued effort towards sustainable residential development in Oswestry. A public consultation period for these plans is open until May 6.
