Ola Electric's Q4 Loss Narrows Amidst Revenue Drop
20 May
Summary
- Ola Electric reported a net loss of Rs 500 crore for Q4 FY26.
- Revenue from operations fell 56.6% year-on-year to Rs 265 crore.
- The company plans to raise fresh equity capital through QIP.

Ola Electric has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ending March 2026, revealing a consolidated net loss of Rs 500 crore. This represents a narrowing of the loss by 42.5% compared to the same period last year, driven by reduced expenses. However, the company's revenue from operations saw a substantial year-on-year decrease of 56.6%, falling to Rs 265 crore from Rs 611 crore.
For the full fiscal year FY26, Ola Electric posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,833 crore, an improvement from the Rs 2,276 crore loss in FY25. Revenue from operations for the full year also declined, totaling Rs 2,253 crore compared to Rs 4,514 crore in the prior fiscal year. The company acknowledged continued pressure from lower-than-anticipated sales growth and operating losses.
In response to these challenges and to strengthen its financial position, Ola Electric is in the process of raising fresh equity capital. This move, structured as a qualified institutional placement (QIP), aims to enhance liquidity and provide necessary support for capital expenditure and working capital requirements. Bhavish Aggarwal, the company's leader, expressed a goal to regain 15-20% national market share within the next six months.
