The move marks the company's expansion beyond the automotive sector, positioning it in the ₹1 lakh crore BESS market, which is projected to grow to over ₹3 lakh crore by 2030.
Ola Shakti is designed, engineered, and manufactured in India at the company's Gigafactory, powered by its 4680 Bharat Cells. The product will be available in four configurations, priced between ₹29,999 and ₹1,59,999 for the first 10,000 units. Ola expects its annual Gigafactory consumption for the BESS market to scale up to 5 GWh in the next few years, surpassing its automotive segment consumption.

The company plans to leverage its 4680 cell technology, Gigafactory production capabilities, and nationwide distribution network to scale its energy storage operations without additional capital or R&D investments.
