Ola Electric Powers Up New Energy Storage Business

Ola Electric is significantly expanding its battery manufacturing capabilities beyond its electric vehicle offerings. The company has launched a new portfolio of energy storage products designed for diverse applications, including residential, commercial, industrial, and large-scale utility projects. This strategic move is intended to boost demand for battery cells produced at its Gigafactory, complementing the ongoing efforts to rebuild sales volumes in its electric two-wheeler segment.

Unveiled on Saturday, the new product line includes Shakti Gen2 for home energy storage, Shakti Rack for commercial and industrial users, and Mahashakti for major energy infrastructure projects. The range demonstrates Ola Electric's versatility, offering solutions from a compact 4.6-kWh home battery system to a substantial 6.26-MWh containerized storage unit, catering to a wide spectrum of energy needs.
