A key aspect is the long-term partnership with SK Hynix. This alliance aims to secure a consistent supply of next-generation memory for Nvidia. Together, they will also work on advancing high-bandwidth memory crucial for AI training and complex AI applications.
Furthermore, SK Telecom is slated to construct a substantial 2-gigawatt AI data center. This facility will leverage Nvidia's Vera Rubin chips and SK Hynix's HBM4 memory. The first phase of this data center is projected to be online by 2027.
In separate but related developments, Nvidia is also collaborating with Naver and Brookfield. They plan to expand Naver's existing AI data center located in South Korea, further boosting the region's AI infrastructure.
