Novo Nordisk has unveiled its strategic vision for 2030, marking a significant reset under new CEO Mike Doustdar. The Danish pharmaceutical company intends to achieve compound annual revenue growth between 2026 and 2030 that mirrors that of its industry peers, a group that includes major players like Eli Lilly and AstraZeneca. This ambitious roadmap includes plans to introduce more than five new drugs with blockbuster potential by the year 2030.
Furthermore, Novo Nordisk aims to generate over DKK 150 billion in risk-adjusted pipeline sales by 2035. This growth will be supported by at least five Phase 3 programs each in diabetes and obesity, as well as other therapeutic areas. A critical component of this strategy involves a tenfold increase in oral GLP-1 manufacturing capacity to serve more than 60 million obesity patients worldwide by 2030, all while maintaining a stable operating margin and attractive dividends.
