Modi Govt Okays ₹3,630 Cr Road to Noida Airport

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has greenlit a revised budget of ₹3,630.77 crore for a new greenfield road project. This initiative aims to establish direct, high-speed connectivity to Noida International Airport from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway spur. The 31.42 km corridor will serve South Delhi, Faridabad, and Gurugram, significantly improving logistics and economic opportunities in the National Capital Region.
The project's execution will span across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, utilizing a Hybrid Annuity Mode. A notable 11 km section will be an elevated highway, contributing an additional ₹689.24 crore to the total cost. Haryana has committed ₹450 crore towards this elevated portion. This new road will integrate seamlessly with existing transport infrastructure, intersecting with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and the Dedicated Freight Corridor, thereby enhancing multimodal transport efficiency.
