Summary
- A 80.45 km highway corridor on NH-752D is approved for development.
- The project will cost ₹3,839.42 crore and connect Ujjain to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
- Travel time is expected to reduce by approximately one hour upon completion.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has greenlit the development of an 80.45 km four-lane corridor on NH-752D, a project estimated at ₹3,839.42 crore. This initiative will link Ujjain directly to the Timrawani interchange on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, significantly improving connectivity.
The upgraded corridor is designed to cut travel time by approximately one hour, boosting travel efficiency. It will facilitate faster speeds of 80-100 kmph, compared to the current 20-50 kmph on some sections.
This project is crucial for inter-state connectivity, especially for traffic between Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Ujjain. It will also help manage the increased movement expected during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in April 2028.
Passing through tribal areas in Dhar and Jhabua districts, the corridor is poised to support economic development. Faster access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will reduce logistics costs, aid the movement of goods, and improve access to industrial hubs.
Road safety and uninterrupted traffic flow are key objectives, alongside reducing congestion and operating costs. This infrastructure upgrade is expected to foster economic growth in the Dhar and Jhabua districts.
