A substantial investment has been secured to fuel the expansion of a creator-led media company, Newpress. This funding will be instrumental in broadening the company's scope into new subject areas and innovative formats.

Notable figures joining the company's board include Peter Lattman from Emerson Collective and Patrick Steel, formerly of Politico. This investment also marks Emerson Collective's first foray into media investments within the creator space.

Newpress operates by building shows around individual journalists, offering comprehensive support in production, research, fact-checking, and commercial endeavors. This framework empowers creators to pursue their unique storytelling approaches and cultivate their own audiences.

The company retains ownership of the intellectual property for its programming, with creators sharing in the financial success of their shows once they become profitable. Current offerings include channels by Johnny Harris, Max Fisher, Sam Ellis, and Christophe Haubursin.
