Summary
- Netflix can now stream the Satyam Computers episode globally.
- A five-year legal battle over the episode has concluded.
- The episode details the $1.5 billion Satyam accounting fraud.

A significant legal victory has been achieved by Netflix, as a Hyderabad court has vacated a long-standing injunction preventing the streaming of the Satyam Computers episode of its docuseries "Bad Boy Billionaires: India". This decision, made on Tuesday, concludes a five-year legal dispute that had blocked the episode's global release since September 1, 2020.
The episode, titled "Riding the Tiger", delves into the infamous Satyam Computer Services scandal, one of India's largest corporate frauds. Founder B. Ramalinga Raju admitted to inflating accounts by thousands of crores, leading to an estimated $1.5 billion in losses and subsequent investigations by Indian authorities.
Netflix argued the documentary was based on public records. The court accepted this, ruling it could not control the release of the documentary and setting aside the injunction. Consequently, the episode was released globally on December 31, 2025, concluding the first season of the series.
