- Their Typecast platform creates human-like emotional AI voice generation.

Neosapience, an artificial intelligence voice synthesis company, has announced the closure of an $11.5 million funding round. The newly acquired capital is earmarked for enhancing its "emotionally intelligent" and conversational AI voice services, as the company gears up for a potential initial public offering on the Korea Stock Market, expected by the close of next year.
The core product, Typecast, distinguishes itself by its ability to discern and assign human emotions to script-generated sentences without extensive manual input. This technology aims to produce outputs that are virtually indistinguishable from human voices, finding applications in entertainment, marketing, and supporting the burgeoning digital creator economy.
Taesu Kim, co-founder and CEO, stated that Typecast analyzes scripts line-by-line to understand tone, emotion, and context, a process they term "smart emotion." This capability allows for rich, emotive performances that align with storytelling, even potentially surpassing the original speaker's emotional range.
