Summary
- Neo CFO highlights rising demand for rare earth magnets.
- Company raised EBITDA guidance multiple times this year.
- Expansion efforts are strongly focused on the European market.

Neo Performance Materials, a critical materials supplier, is capitalizing on the resurgent demand for rare earth permanent magnets. Speaking at a recent conference, CFO Jonathan Baksh detailed the company's integrated operations, which encompass separation, metal, and magnet production, as well as recycling.
Geopolitical tensions and supply chain concerns have recently amplified the importance of rare earths and permanent magnets. China's historical dominance in these sectors, holding an 85% share in separation and 93% in magnet production, has prompted global efforts to diversify supply chains.
Neo has seen significant financial momentum, achieving its best-ever quarterly EBITDA performance in the first quarter of 2026. The company has proactively raised its adjusted EBITDA guidance throughout the year. The fiscal 2026 EBITDA outlook has been projected to reach between $140 million and $150 million.
With a strategic emphasis on Europe, Neo is expanding its manufacturing capabilities in the region. This expansion is crucial given that China accounts for the vast majority of global rare earth separation, metal, and magnet production.
