Nebius Secures $775M GPU Loan, Reverses Plunge
19 Jul
Summary
- Nebius secured a $775 million GPU-backed loan.
- This deal funds AI expansion without diluting shareholder equity.
- The loan aims to alleviate concerns after a significant stock drop.

Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) experienced an 8% stock increase on Friday afternoon, recovering from a substantial 14% decline on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The recovery was driven by the announcement of Nebius's first-ever senior secured debt facility, a significant $775 million loan backed by deployed GPU hardware and existing customer cash flows.
This strategic financing move is designed to fuel Nebius's artificial intelligence infrastructure buildout. Crucially, it avoids the issuance of new shares, directly combating the dilution fears that led to Thursday's sharp sell-off. Nebius has guided for $22.5 billion in capital expenditures by 2026, and this debt facility provides a clear funding path without impacting shareholder equity.
The company also cited more than $40 billion in additional contracted revenue from investment-grade customers, including Microsoft and Meta Platforms, underscoring its strong market position and future revenue potential. Nebius confirmed its capacity deployment with Microsoft remains on track. The existing $2 billion investment from NVIDIA continues to serve as a key validation of Nebius's GPU capabilities.
