The Navi Mumbai International Airport, inaugurated last October, commenced domestic commercial operations on December 25, 2025. The airport's CEO indicated that international passenger and freight services were targeted for a July 15 launch. Previously, international operations were planned for the airline's summer schedule but were delayed due to West Asia conflicts.
Currently, the airport manages approximately 20,000 passengers daily with 150 air traffic movements. Projections show a substantial surge, expecting daily passenger footfall to reach 50,000 by the year's end, alongside 380 daily arrivals and departures.
