A luxury Napa Valley vineyard, once destroyed by wildfire, has reappeared on the market for $14.95 million. The roughly 24-acre estate, located at 2929 Atlas Peak Road, features a permitted winery and vineyards producing Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The property, formerly Ardente Estate Winery, was acquired in 2016 by Igor and Shari Sill. Tragically, the October 2017 Atlas Fire swept through the area, causing extensive damage to the winery buildings, equipment, and a guesthouse, though the vines survived.
The estate has since been meticulously rebuilt. The new winery is permitted to produce 8,500 gallons of wine annually. The vineyard is farmed organically and biodynamically, with its Cabernet Sauvignon vines having a history of producing award-winning wines. The estate also includes a 4,742-square-foot residence with an infinity pool, offering views across Napa Valley and, on clear days, a distant glimpse of San Francisco's skyline.
This offering emerges during a challenging period for the U.S. wine industry, marked by declining consumption and an increase in winery and vineyard sales. Several other Napa properties have recently entered the market, indicating a difficult sales environment even for distinctive estates. The property also faced a prior dispute over vineyard expansion and wetland protection, which was settled in January 2020.
