MSNBC Expands Washington Bureau with Top Talent Hires

In a move to bolster its Washington operations, MSNBC has announced the hiring of two veteran journalists to key roles within its bureau. As the network prepares to rebrand as MS NOW on November 15th, 2025, it is building a team dedicated to producing original, evidence-based reporting and in-depth investigative journalism.
Kate Farrell, who previously served as a senior producer for CBS Mornings in Washington, D.C., has joined MSNBC as the Deputy Washington Bureau Chief. Farrell brings over 25 years of experience, having also worked at CNN and the BBC, where she was the longtime executive producer of BBC World News America. She is a four-time Peabody Award winner and five-time Emmy Award winner.
Cindy Galli has been hired as the Legal Affairs Director, joining from a 14-year stint at ABC News. Most recently, she served as the executive producer of ABC News' award-winning investigative unit, leading a team that covered government fraud, corporate corruption, racial injustice, consumer, and environmental issues.
Both Farrell and Galli will report to Sudeep Reddy, the Washington Bureau Chief, as MSNBC continues to build a team dedicated to delivering high-impact reporting and journalism.
