Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) announced a substantial financial recovery in its third quarter results for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The company achieved a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹1,445 crore, a significant leap from the ₹304 crore PAT recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
This positive trend extended over the first nine months of 2025-26, during which MRPL posted a PAT of ₹1,812 crore, a remarkable turnaround from a loss after tax of ₹313 crore in the same period of 2024-25. Revenue from operations in Q3 2025-26 grew to ₹29,720 crore.
MRPL's financial health also saw marked improvement, with its debt equity ratio declining from 0.79 to 0.63 by December 31, 2025. The company successfully reduced its total borrowing from ₹12,867 crore to ₹9,290 crore. Notably, MRPL commenced crude storage in October at a leased cavern facility and processed a new crude type from Libya.
