Samvardhana Motherson International has announced the acquisition of the automotive wiring harness business from Nexans autoelectric GmbH and Elektrokontact GmbH. The deal, valued at €207 million, will be managed by Motherson Global Investments BV, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic move incorporates a well-established global manufacturer with decades of experience in both passenger and commercial vehicle wiring.
The acquired entity, Autoelectric, boasts nearly 60 years of operational history and generated revenues of €749 million in calendar year 2024. The transaction, structured on a cash- and debt-free enterprise value of €207 million, is projected for completion by the first quarter of fiscal year 2027.
