13 Nov
Summary
- Mondelez to manufacture, market, and sell Lotus Biscoff in India
- Lotus Bakeries aims to make Biscoff the 3rd largest cookie brand globally
- Mondelez to develop and market co-branded chocolates with Lotus

As of November 2025, Mondelez and Lotus Bakeries have formally announced the launch of the Lotus Biscoff biscuit brand in India. The partnership, which was agreed upon in June 2024, will see Mondelez manufacture, market, distribute, and sell the popular Biscoff biscuits in the country.
Lotus Bakeries, the company behind the Biscoff brand, has set its sights on making the flagship Biscoff biscuit the number three cookie brand in the world, with India playing a crucial role in its global ambitions. Mondelez's Oreo is currently the world's largest-selling cookie brand.
In addition to growing the Biscoff brand in India, the two companies will also collaborate to develop and market co-branded chocolates. This move will help Mondelez, the maker of Perk and 5 Star chocolates, expand its premium cookie portfolio in the country.
Lotus Bakeries, founded in 1932, currently operates in over 50 countries and reported revenues of €1.06 billion in 2023. The company is hoping that India will become one of the top three markets for its Biscoff brand in the coming years.
