Mitsubishi Returns: L200 Pickup Truck Back in UK

Legendary automotive brand Mitsubishi has officially re-entered the UK market after a six-year absence, with the L200 pickup truck leading the charge. Order books for the new Series 7 L200 are now open, with pricing details and specifications confirmed for UK buyers.

The L200 is available in double-cab and commercial variants, starting at £36,295 before VAT for the base model. It is powered by a heavily revised 2.4-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which promises increased power and torque compared to previous generations. This powertrain is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox and a new all-wheel drive system.

Buyers can choose between the Titan and the higher-spec Barbarian trims. The Titan comes equipped with essential safety and convenience features, including a 360-degree camera and wireless smartphone integration. The Barbarian trim adds more premium elements such as heated leather seats, LED headlights, and wireless phone charging.

Mitsubishi aims to position the L200 as a versatile working pickup, capable of towing up to 3,500kg and carrying 1,000kg. The vehicle also boasts a sophisticated all-wheel drive system with selectable driving modes for various terrains. The brand also plans to introduce the Outlander PHEV and a new Shogun SUV.
