Microsoft's executive team sees another significant departure with Rajesh Jha, head of Experiences + Devices, announcing his planned exit after more than 35 years with the company. Jha's tenure included leadership over some of Microsoft's most vital products and services, such as Windows, Office, and Teams.
His departure, which he has been planning with CEO Satya Nadella, will see a restructuring of leadership within his division. Rather than appointing a single successor, four key members of Jha's team are being elevated to executive vice president positions. These leaders will now report directly to Nadella, ensuring continuity and a focused approach to product development and strategy.
The promoted executives include Ryan Roslanksky, Pavan Davuluri, Charles Lamanna, and Perry Clarke. Jha, reflecting on his long career, described it as "an incredible privilege" and will officially transition out on July 1, remaining in an advisory capacity thereafter. Nadella lauded Jha as a pivotal leader who has "truly shaped this company."
