MHADA Halts Flat Registrations, Buyers Await New Dates
5 Feb
Summary
- MHADA postponed the online registration for 120 flats.
- Technical refinements and administrative adjustments caused the delay.
- Revised dates for registration will be announced on MHADA's website.

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has delayed the online registration for 120 flats under its "First Come, First Served" scheme. Originally scheduled to begin on February 5, the process has been postponed to allow for administrative adjustments and technical upgrades aimed at improving user experience.
MHADA officials stated that a system audit and server capacity enhancements are underway to manage expected high traffic for the FCFS bookings. Minor corrections to pricing and carpet areas for some units are also being finalized. The authority assures that this delay is temporary and serves to protect genuine buyers.
The available flats include 1BHK and 2BHK configurations in areas like Virar, Mira Road, and Shirdhon, targeting the EWS and LIG categories. MHADA urges the public to avoid unauthorized agents, emphasizing the digitized and transparent nature of the booking process. New registration dates will be published on the official MHADA website (housing.mhada.gov.in) and in newspapers soon. Users are advised to ensure their DigiLocker integration is up-to-date for quick verification.
