MetaComp Launches First AI Agent KYA Framework

MetaComp Pte. Ltd. launched the StableX Know Your Agent (KYA) Framework on April 21, 2026, a groundbreaking governance standard for AI agents in regulated financial services. This framework is believed to be the first globally, specifically addressing AI operations in payments, compliance, and wealth management.

The KYA framework aims to establish clear standards for AI agent identity, authorization, behavior monitoring, and accountability. It governs AI agents across their entire lifecycle, from registration to interaction, within a unified architecture.

This initiative responds to a significant governance gap, as many financial institutions deploy AI agents without adequate oversight. The framework draws inspiration from Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority's (IMDA) Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI.

Organized into four pillars—Agent Identity and Registration, Authority and Permission Control, VisionX Behaviour Monitoring and Risk Intelligence, and Ecosystem and Interaction Governance—the KYA framework ensures that AI agents are anchored to verified identities and operate within strictly defined permissions.

The framework extends governance to agent-to-agent interactions, applying principles similar to the FATF Travel Rule. It ensures traceable, attributable, and compliant agent activities, especially within MetaComp's StableX Network and AgentX Skill ecosystem.
