Alpha Ladder Group and Maqam International Holding have established a joint venture focused on real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation and digital payments within the MENA region. This collaboration, announced on April 2, 2026, is strategically domiciled in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), a key international financial center.
The joint venture is set to leverage MetaComp's robust Web2.5 Pay + Wealth business model, fresh off a USD 35 million funding round. Maqam International Holding brings decades of experience in developing landmark real assets, such as Etihad Towers, providing crucial on-the-ground expertise and institutional relationships.
This new entity aims to address the significant opportunities in MENA's digital finance market, projected to reach USD 420 billion by 2030, and the GCC's RWA tokenisation market, estimated at nearly USD 500 billion by the same year. The venture will focus on integrated digital financial infrastructure, including cross-border payments and RWA tokenisation using Alpha Ladder's patented NFDT technology.
The partnership strengthens the Singapore-UAE fintech corridor, building on existing initiatives from Singapore's MAS and the UAE's ADGM. Initial operations are slated to commence in 2026 after applying for the relevant ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) license.
