Export Boom Transforms Mayur Uniquoters' Future
18 Jul
Summary
- Exports are driving significant revenue and profit growth.
- Automotive OEMs are increasingly important export customers.
- Company remains virtually debt-free with strong financial discipline.

Mayur Uniquoters, long recognized for synthetic leather production, is increasingly demonstrating its potential as an export-focused entity, especially with global automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This strategic shift is now reflected in its improving financial performance. As of Financial Year 2026, consolidated revenue rose 10% to Rs 967 crore, with operating profit increasing by 23% and net profit by 29%.
The company's revenue mix is evolving, with exports contributing around 42.5% and automobiles comprising 65% of total sales. This focus on exports, particularly to global automotive customers, yields higher realisations and improves overall profitability. For instance, FY26 saw exports grow approximately 35% while domestic revenue grew only 4%.
Profitability is also enhanced by improved operational efficiency and a favourable product mix. Management anticipates margins could stabilize between 25% and 30% if export growth continues. The company is planning moderate capital expenditures, including a new domestic coating line and evaluating an overseas manufacturing facility, while maintaining a virtually debt-free balance sheet.
