Max Healthcare Institute Ltd announced a 10.34% increase in its network profit after tax for the September quarter of FY27, reaching ₹448 crore. This financial performance marks a significant improvement from the ₹406 crore profit recorded in the same period last fiscal year.
The company's network gross revenue saw a 20% growth, amounting to ₹3,219 crore. This expansion was primarily driven by an increase in occupied bed days. Notably, revenue from international patients experienced a remarkable 33% rise, contributing ₹307 crore and representing approximately 10% of the overall hospital revenue.
Looking ahead, Max Healthcare's board has sanctioned capital expenditure totaling ₹415 crore. This investment is earmarked for the addition of 209 brownfield beds across its existing hospitals, a strategic move to augment capacity and meet growing demand. Expansion plans include adding beds at facilities in Noida and Vaishali, as well as at BLK Max.
Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Soi highlighted the faster ramp-up in occupancy for newly added beds, signaling strong demand. He also noted the robust growth in medical value travel, emphasizing India's cost-competitiveness and its strengthening position as a global healthcare destination.
