- 101 companies face shareholder lock-in expiries worth $24 billion.
- Lock-ins expire between October 19, 2026, and January 29, 2027.
- Not all unlocked shares will be sold due to promoter holdings.

As of October 16, 2026, Nuvama's research highlights that 101 companies are set to experience pre-listing shareholder lock-in expiries. These events, occurring between October 19, 2026, and January 29, 2027, involve shares valued at approximately $24 billion. The analysis tracks both promoter and non-promoter shareholders.
Several companies face substantial unlocks relative to their total equity. Xtranet Technologies has 2 million shares unlocking on October 26, representing 38% of its outstanding equity. Moneyview and Acevector also have significant upcoming expiries on October 29 and October 30, respectively, with millions of shares becoming eligible for trading.
Further into the year, large unlocks are anticipated. CMR Green Technologies will see 142 million shares unlock on December 9 (65% of equity), and SBI Funds Management has 1,428 million shares set for expiry on January 18, 2027 (70% of equity).
Nuvama emphasizes that the total value of unlocked shares does not equate to the actual sell-off volume, as promoter holdings may remain with the original shareholders. Investors should consider both the number of shares and their percentage of outstanding equity when assessing potential market impact.
