A new Waffle House is slated to open its doors in Massillon during the second week of January 2026. Situated in the 1200 block of Lincoln Way E, the restaurant will occupy a space of over 1,900 square feet, previously a law office. The initial operating hours will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a phased approach to eventually offer 24-hour service.
The development involved the demolition of a 1913 home that had been converted into a law office. Canton-based A. Altman Co. is the current owner of the property. City officials have noted Waffle House's cooperative efforts in addressing community concerns regarding potential traffic increases along Lincoln Way and Pine Street SE.
This new Massillon location will be the 88th Waffle House restaurant within Ohio. The renowned chain, which opened its first location over Labor Day weekend in 1955 in Georgia, currently boasts nearly 2,050 locations spread across 25 U.S. states, with a significant concentration in the Midwest and Southern regions.
