Maruti Suzuki India has introduced the Wagon R Bioflex, a new variant powered by an E85-compliant petrol engine. This flex-fuel hatchback is priced at Rs 7.24 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 86,000 more than its petrol-manual counterpart.
For now, the Wagon R Bioflex will be available exclusively to commercial clients. This variant is equipped with a 1.2-litre K12N engine that has been modified for compatibility with fuels containing up to 85% ethanol.
In addition to the flex-fuel offering, Maruti Suzuki has also launched the Smart Maintenance Plan (SMP). This prepaid after-sales program aims to reduce ownership expenses for existing Maruti Suzuki vehicle owners.
The SMP is accessible to both private and commercial vehicle owners. Customers can select from various packages covering labor, parts, engine oil, and select wear-and-tear components, offering savings of at least 10% on labor costs.
