Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled a groundbreaking range of alternate-fuel tractors and sustainable technologies at Agrovision 2025 in Nagpur. The showcase featured new advancements in clean agricultural mobility, including tractors powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Compressed Biogas (CBG), an innovative Ethanol Flex Fuel tractor engine, and an all-electric tractor.
These environmentally conscious machines, developed at Mahindra Research Valley, are designed to significantly lower agriculture's carbon footprint. The CNG/CBG tractor offers versatile fuel options, while the ethanol flex-fuel engine utilizes bio-sources like sugarcane and crop waste, promoting energy independence and farmer benefits.
The company also displayed its electric tractor, promising reduced operating expenses and zero-emission performance. This initiative underscores Mahindra's commitment to driving India's transition towards cleaner, smarter, and economically viable farming solutions, aligning with national goals for carbon reduction and net-zero emissions by 2070.
