Mahindra's XUV 3XO CNG: Boot Space Intact!

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched its XUV 3XO ZNG, marking a significant entry into India's passenger CNG vehicle segment. This new compact SUV starts at an accessible Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with prices extending up to Rs 12.27 lakh across its four distinct variants. A standout feature is its innovative twin-cylinder CNG system, ingeniously designed to sit beneath the luggage area, thereby preserving a practical 270-litre boot space. The spare wheel is conveniently mounted under the body.

Bookings for the XUV 3XO ZNG are scheduled to commence on October 20, 2026, with the company's website and authorized dealerships accepting orders. Deliveries are slated to begin on the same day, while prospective customers can experience the vehicle through test drives starting October 15, 2026.

Under the hood, the XUV 3XO ZNG is powered by a 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi turbocharged engine, delivering 82 kW of power and 200 Nm of torque in both petrol and CNG modes. Mahindra claims this torque output is the highest in its class for CNG vehicles. The SUV achieves a certified mileage of 24.7 km/kg. Safety is a priority, with six airbags, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts offered as standard across all variants.

Interior features vary by trim, with higher variants offering amenities such as a sunroof, advanced infotainment systems with dual screens, connected-car technology, and premium upholstery. The vehicle also incorporates a gas-leak detection system that automatically switches to petrol in case of a detected leak, enhancing safety for passengers.
