Mahindra's Thar Roxx gets a dazzling Star Edition

Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the Thar Roxx Star Edition, marking the first special edition for this SUV in the Indian market. Bollywood actor Abhay Deol, known for his diverse roles, is the face of the Star Edition's promotional campaign, featured in a video highlighting the vehicle's unique attributes.

The Star Edition distinguishes itself with aesthetic enhancements over the standard Thar Roxx. Key exterior updates include a piano black grille and matching alloy wheels, a departure from the dual-tone, shiny metallic finish found on the regular model. The featured Citrine Yellow variant, badged as Star Edition, is also available in Tango Red, Everest White, and Stealth Black.

Inside, the cabin adopts an all-black theme, complemented by black leatherette upholstery and suede accents. Technological and comfort features include all-LED lighting, dual 10.25-inch screens for instrumentation and infotainment, front ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and a premium 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Mechanically, the Star Edition remains consistent with the standard Thar Roxx, offering a choice between a 2.2-litre diesel or a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. These engines can be paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission. Notably, the Star Edition is exclusively offered with a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) configuration, omitting the 4x4 system.
