- The company plans to involve 30,000-40,000 farmers in banana cultivation.

Surachita Agro Producer Company Ltd has successfully exported its first 20-tonne consignment of bananas to Dubai, a remarkable achievement following initial setbacks. The company, based in Maharashtra's Solapur district, initially explored dry raisins and fresh grapes but found limited market demand, prompting a pivot to banana cultivation.
This shift led to onboarding 350 shareholders and developing a pack-house facility. With support from Palladium and the Maharashtra SMART project, SAPCL secured buyer networks and export knowledge, paving the way for this international shipment. The company aims to add value by processing lower-grade bananas.
Encouraged by this progress, Surachita Agro FPC intends to significantly scale up banana cultivation, aiming to involve 30,000 to 40,000 farmers. This expansion is part of a long-term vision to establish a comprehensive, farmer-centric banana value chain in the Solapur region.
