In the quarter ended September 2025, Longview Tea Company experienced a significant decline in its financial performance. The company's net profit plunged 88.46% to Rs 0.03 crore, down from Rs 0.26 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The primary driver behind this drop in profitability was a 4.88% decline in sales, which fell to Rs 0.78 crore in Q3 2025 from Rs 0.82 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2024. The company's operating profit margin also deteriorated, declining from -8.54% in Q3 2024 to -3.85% in the recent quarter.
Despite the ongoing challenges, Longview Tea Company managed to maintain a positive profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 0.01 crore, though this was a significant 98% decrease from the previous year's figure of Rs 0.49 crore.
