London Northwestern Railway (LNR) is warning customers of substantial disruption to its train services on Friday and Saturday, July 10th and 11th, 2026, owing to planned strike action by the TSSA trade union. The industrial action will result in no service operating on the Marston Vale Line, which connects Bedford and Bletchley.
Furthermore, LNR services impacting Milton Keynes, Northampton, Watford Junction, and St Albans Abbey will be significantly reduced. On Friday, all train operations will cease by 7:00 PM BST, with the last departures scheduled for 5:30 PM. Services are expected to resume at 7:00 AM on Saturday, though some disruption may persist into Sunday morning due to the displacement of trains.
Jonny Wiseman from LNR stated that the industrial action is anticipated to cause considerable inconvenience for customers. The company is actively working towards a resolution and is committed to minimizing the impact of the disruption. Passengers are strongly advised to verify their travel arrangements before commencing their journeys.
