25 Mar
Summary
- Two projectiles, including a Russian missile, struck a Libyan oil pipeline.
- The attack forced a complete shutdown of the El Feel oilfield.
- Oil production is expected to resume in one to two weeks.

Libyan security authorities recently recovered two exploded projectiles from a crude oil pipeline at the Sharara oilfield. The recovered items included an M-62 Russian-made missile weighing around 250 kg and remnants of a 130 mm rocket.
This attack resulted in a complete shutdown of the El Feel oilfield, which had a normal capacity of 80,000 to 90,000 barrels per day. Production at El Feel is now projected to resume in approximately one to two weeks.
Libyan oil output has been frequently disrupted by political and technical issues since 2011. The Sharara oilfield, a major production area with a capacity of 300,000 to 320,000 bpd, is operated by a joint venture including NOC, Repsol, TotalEnergies, OMV, and Equinor.
