Global investment firm KKR has successfully closed its second Asia-Pacific credit fund, raising $2.5 billion. This significant capital raise is earmarked for privately originated performing credit investments across the region.
The fund includes $1.8 billion designated for KKR's Asia Credit Opportunities Fund II, alongside an additional $700 million secured from separately managed accounts. This achievement establishes it as the largest pan-regional fund dedicated to performing credit opportunities in Asia.
Since initiating its Asia Credit strategy in 2019, KKR has a strong track record, having completed over 60 investments totaling approximately $8.3 billion in capital invested and $27.5 billion in total transaction value within the Asia-Pacific region.
