Summary
- Tracey Cullen becomes King Kullen's first female president.
- Cullen, a fourth-generation family member, takes leadership.
- Joseph W. Brown retires after a 53-year career with the company.

King Kullen has appointed Tracey Cullen as its next president and chief operating officer. This historic appointment makes her the first woman to hold the top leadership position in the company's nearly 100-year history. Cullen, a descendant of founder Michael J. Cullen, has been a significant figure in the company's operations since 2010.
She succeeds Joseph W. Brown, who is retiring after an extensive 53-year career with King Kullen. Brown began his journey with the supermarket chain in 1973 and steadily advanced through various leadership roles before serving as president and COO for the past five years. His departure marks the end of an era for the long-standing executive.
The announcement follows a recent wave of promotions within King Kullen. Frank Vassallo has been elevated to senior vice president of store operations, Chris La Bella is now the senior director of merchandising, and Andrew Wasserman assumes the role of director of center store merchandising and procurement. King Kullen currently operates 24 supermarkets and four Wild by Nature stores.
