Kimberly-Clark announced a stronger first quarter, with its profit escalating to $665 million and net sales climbing by 2.7% to $4.16 billion. The company attributes this positive performance to a strategic focus on consumer-inspired innovation and robust consumer demand.
CEO Mike Hsu highlighted the company's success in building market share despite prevailing economic and geopolitical uncertainties. He emphasized the role of "brand love" and exceptional team execution in achieving these results.
The maker of Kleenex and Huggies reported earnings per share of $2, an increase from $1.70 in the prior year. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.97, surpassing analyst expectations of $1.93. This figure was aided by a 13-cent contribution from the planned acquisition of Kenvue, expected to finalize in the latter half of 2026.
Looking ahead, Kimberly-Clark reaffirmed its expectation for organic sales growth to align with or exceed category and country averages for the full year. The company also anticipates adjusted earnings per share to remain stable on a constant-currency basis compared to 2025.
