Kia Sorento Arrives: Price Drop Shocks Market!

Kia has introduced the Sorento in the Indian market with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹27.99 lakh. Manufactured at Kia's Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh, this capable all-wheel-drive (AWD) SUV is available in configurations seating six or seven passengers.

The Sorento is powered by a choice of a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid or a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both powertrains can be paired with either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The diesel engine delivers 193 bhp and 442 Nm of torque, coupled with an 8-speed DCT.

Inside, the Sorento features dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Buyers can opt for interior trims in grey and black, or beige and black. Kia has also introduced nine unique interior themes inspired by characters from Marvel, Disney, and Pixar.

The six-seat version includes captain chairs in the second row, while the seven-seat variant offers a bench seat. Convenience features include ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, a powered tailgate, wireless charging, and an optional 12-speaker Bose audio system. AWD models offer multiple driving modes, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Smart, Snow, Sand, and Mud.
