Katie Price Probed for CBD Cancer Claims
16 Feb
Summary
- Katie Price faces Trading Standards investigation over CBD product claims.
- She allegedly claimed a CBD product could cure cancer.
- Investigations stem from complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority.

Katie Price is currently being investigated by Trading Standards for alleged breaches of advertising regulations concerning a CBD product. The probe follows public claims made by Price in April of last year, suggesting the product could cure cancer. These statements, made on X and in Instagram ads for Supreme CBD, where she serves as a paid brand ambassador, generated significant public backlash.
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received initial complaints and has since referred the matter to Trading Standards, described as a legal 'backstop'. An ASA spokesperson confirmed the referral, noting their compliance team is also assessing further actions regarding the advertiser and relevant platforms.
In her controversial post, Price cited a conversation with boxer Anthony Fowler and his partner about their child's tumor, stating they had 'healed her themselves' using Supreme CBD, and that the product aids conditions like fibromyalgia and arthritis.
Previously, in April 2024, Price was also required to remove promotional posts for The Skinny Food Co. for failing to clearly identify them as advertisements and for making unauthorized weight loss claims.
