The Karnataka government has sanctioned industrial projects valued at ₹4,824.31 crore, a move expected to create 14,525 employment opportunities. This decision was made during the 158th State Level Single Window Approval Committee meeting held on Friday. The approved investments cover 37 new industries and two expansion projects.
These significant investments will be distributed across 13 districts, including Vijayapura, Bagalkote, Chitradurga, Kolar, and Ramanagara. Industries Minister M B Patil highlighted that the approved projects span diverse sectors such as IT infrastructure, sugar manufacturing, technical textiles, compressed biogas, aerospace, and hotel construction.
Of the approved projects, 22 are large and medium-scale industrial ventures exceeding ₹50 crore, collectively worth ₹3,908.68 crore and projected to employ 12,475 individuals. An additional 15 projects, ranging from ₹15 crore to ₹50 crore, total ₹350.60 crore and will provide jobs for 1,750 people. Two further investment projects amount to ₹565.03 crore, creating 300 jobs.
