The Khadi and Gramodyog exhibition at Kanpur's Vrijendra Swaroop Park is experiencing significant visitor turnout and brisk sales. This 10-day divisional-level event, organized by the UP Khadi and Gramodyog Board, is scheduled to continue until February 18. A total of 105 stalls are showcasing a variety of khadi, gramodyog, and pottery items.
Khadi apparel has proven to be a major draw for shoppers. Additionally, self-help groups reported strong demand for their snacks, spices, and pickles, with specific interest in Rajasthani snacks. Jute slippers originating from Dehradun have also captured attention.
An awareness program was integrated into the exhibition to champion indigenous products. The event will feature a cultural evening on Saturday, with folk songs and dances presented by the Riddh-Siddh Music Academy from Lucknow.
