Kalshi, Comply Forge Trade Surveillance Partnership
4 Aug
Summary
- Kalshi partners with Comply to bring compliance tech to institutional trading.
- Comply's software will monitor employees' event contract trades.
- This aims to ensure adherence to company policies and prevent insider trading.

Prediction market platform Kalshi is advancing its institutional trading efforts with a new partnership with Comply, a compliance technology provider. This collaboration, announced Tuesday, will integrate Kalshi's trade data into Comply's regulatory software, benefiting over 5,000 financial firms.
The new system will enable companies using Comply's technology to oversee employees' trades on event contracts. This monitoring ensures adherence to company policies and helps prevent the misuse of material, non-public information for trading purposes. The compliance surveillance will also cover Kalshi's perpetual futures contracts.
Kalshi aims to address institutional interest in prediction markets, where firms often expect similar compliance oversight as with traditional assets. Max Crowley, VP of business development at Kalshi, noted that institutions are seeking visibility into employee trading activities. Kalshi's internal surveillance team already monitors platform activity, but external visibility is a key demand.
This partnership follows a similar June agreement with StarCompliance, another compliance technology firm. Comply also has existing coverage for prediction market trades on Polymarket through a partnership with ZenLedger. These efforts provide companies with crucial data to manage employee trading effectively, potentially avoiding outright bans on event contract trading as a policy measure.
