JLR Wholesale Volumes Surge 24.5% in Q2
3 Oct
Summary
- Jaguar Land Rover wholesale volumes increased by 24.5% year-on-year.
- The Q2 growth reflects recovery from a cyber incident last year.
- Retail sales for JLR saw a 7.5% decrease during the quarter.
In the second quarter, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported a robust year-on-year increase in wholesale volumes, with a notable rise of 24.5%. This surge brought the total wholesale units to 82,400.
The company attributes this substantial growth in wholesale volumes to a successful recovery. This recovery is directly linked to overcoming the challenges posed by a significant cyber incident experienced approximately one year ago.
However, the positive trend in wholesale did not fully translate to retail sales. JLR's retail sales for the same quarter experienced a year-on-year decrease of 7.5%, amounting to 79,000 units sold.
