JK Cement has announced the successful commissioning of a new 3 million tonnes per annum (MnTPA) cement grinding unit at its Buxar, Bihar facility. This strategic expansion significantly enhances the company's manufacturing capabilities and footprint in eastern India.
The Buxar unit is a crucial component of JK Cement's broader 6 MnTPA expansion initiative, which was approved by the Board of Directors in January 2024. This comprehensive plan involves brownfield expansions for clinker and cement grinding capacities across Panna, Hamirpur, and Prayagraj, alongside the new greenfield facility in Bihar.
Following this commissioning, JK Cement's total grey cement production capacity has now reached 31.26 MnTPA, incorporating the capacities of its subsidiary operations. This growth reflects the company's ongoing commitment to increasing its market presence and production output.
