JioHotstar Price Hike: New Tiers Launch Jan 2026

Starting January 28, 2026, new JioHotstar subscribers will face updated pricing, including an annual premium plan at ₹2,199, a significant increase from the current ₹1,499. This shift introduces monthly subscription options across all tiers, beginning at ₹79 for the Mobile plan, ₹149 for Super, and ₹299 for Premium. The revised structure aims to accommodate evolving viewing habits, particularly the rise in connected TV consumption.

Existing subscribers are unaffected by these changes, provided their auto-renewal settings are active. They will continue on their present plans and prices. New users in the Super and Premium tiers will automatically receive Hollywood content, while Mobile tier subscribers can add it via an optional package. This update reflects platform growth, which boasts over one billion downloads and 450 million monthly active users.

JioHotstar states the subscription updates are designed to support expanded living-room viewing and mobile discovery. The company aims to continue investing in premium content, live sports, and enhancing its streaming technology. This strategic move prioritizes flexibility and choice for users, aligning with the goal of building a comprehensive entertainment ecosystem in India.
