Reliance Industries' media and entertainment division announced a substantial revenue of Rs 34,917 crore for FY26. A major highlight was JioHotstar, which not only became India's leading digital streaming platform but also the first paid Over-The-Top (OTT) service in the country to achieve over one billion downloads. Akash Ambani highlighted these achievements, noting the integrated media ecosystem's strong financial performance.
The collective media ecosystem, comprising JioStar, Jio Studios, and Network18, generated an EBITDA of Rs 5,842 crore and a net profit of Rs 3,434 crore. JioStar continues to dominate television viewership with a 34.7% share. Meanwhile, JioHotstar averaged 451 million monthly active users, and its live-streaming capabilities were demonstrated during the T20 World Cup, where it set a world record of 72.5 million concurrent viewers.
Furthermore, Jio Studios has solidified its position as India's premier content studio, with its 'Dhurandhar' film franchise earning over Rs 3,000 crore worldwide. Network18 also reported extensive reach, connecting with 250 million people monthly via television and digital platforms. Additionally, a new AI-powered content production platform, JAMS, was launched to foster creative technologists.
