- Jio Infocomm contributed over 87% to consolidated revenue in FY26.
- Reliance Jio Infocomm's performance significantly impacts Jio Platforms.
Jio Platforms is showing consistent revenue and profit increases, with Q1FY27 revenue climbing 11.8% year-on-year to Rs 39,172.9 crore and net profit growing 9.1% to Rs 7,765 crore. However, total expenses rose by 13.9% in the same quarter. Notably, finance costs saw a significant surge of 41.6% YoY, reaching Rs 2,979.9 crore.
Reviewing yearly performance for FY26, revenue increased by 14.6% to Rs 1.468 lakh crore, and net profit grew 15.1% to Rs 30,064.3 crore. Yet, total expenses outpaced this growth, rising 16.1% to Rs 1.094 lakh crore. Finance costs were particularly alarming, surging 76% YoY to Rs 8,653.4 crore for the full year.
A substantial dependency on its subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm, presents a key risk. In FY26, Jio Infocomm accounted for 87.74% of consolidated revenue and over 93% of EBITDA and PAT. The company acknowledges that any negative business developments for Jio Infocomm will directly impact its consolidated financial condition.
