JE Dunn Expands Power Tech Group

JE Dunn Construction has established a new power generation unit, expanding its advanced technology group. Ryan Wilson, who joined JE Dunn in 2018, has been appointed as the vice president and market lead for this new sector. He will focus on developing delivery strategies and identifying market opportunities for the division.

The company cited several factors driving the surge in power generation projects, including the rapid growth of artificial intelligence infrastructure, the reshoring of manufacturing, and the necessity of modernizing aging power facilities. JE Dunn has a robust portfolio, having already completed more than 220 power projects across various generation types.

This strategic move by JE Dunn mirrors efforts by other construction firms. In March, Clayco also launched a dedicated power and energy business unit. WSP Global reported that power work constitutes a significant portion of its U.S. revenue, and major players like Kiewit and Bechtel are engaged in large-scale power projects, such as a $33 billion job in Ohio.
